I know what you’re thinking, “Tonya, what are you talking about, I’m not digging my own grave?” I’m not talking about digging your grave with your hands, I’m talking about with your teeth.  We all do it, even yours truly.  So I’m not pointing fingers, I’m just making a point.

You know what I’m talking about.  You finally start exercising again, you’re building momentum, you’re making progress, and even your family’s starting to believe you’re serious about getting in shape.  You’ve started making some “lifestyle changes” in what you eat, how much you eat, and even when you eat.  Then it happens…

Let’s K.I.S.S. (keep it super simple). Push ups are one of the best exercises on the planet for toning the chest and arms. There are numerous variations in which you can perform a push-up, from a modified position (for beginners) to diamond push-ups (targeting the back of your arms as well as your chest). Somebody once said “Jesus can turn water into whine, but he can’t turn whining into anything.” Ain’t that the truth?

I’ve found myself facing some personal and professional challenges this past week as I try to continue be “Super Mom” and “Wonder ‘Business’ Woman” all at the same time.  And quite honestly, it’s been wearing me down.  I constantly find myself asking God for a miracle; you know, some type of relief that will help me be able to “do it all” and still maintain my sanity.  Can you relate to what I’m saying?

When we were children, our parents always told us to look both ways before crossing the street. Well, I believe the same advice applies when we’re planning to dine out. Dinner out with the family is a treat you should enjoy; so it doesn’t have to be decision you’ll regret later if you take time to “look both ways” and check the traffic signals before crossing.
